WhatsApp Business API for Indian Teams

Novrex connects the WhatsApp Business API to your customer records, so you can broadcast offers and catalogues, run template campaigns and answer from a shared team inbox. Meta’s per-conversation charges are billed at cost with no Novrex markup, and every response syncs into the ERP pipeline as a scored lead.

What is the WhatsApp Business API, and how is it different from WhatsApp Business?

The free WhatsApp Business app is a single phone with one user. The Business API is the version businesses run at scale: multiple agents on one number, template messages approved by Meta, broadcasts to thousands of opted-in customers, catalogues, and automation. It has no app of its own — you reach it through a platform, which is what Novrex provides.

  • WhatsApp Campaigns — Broadcast offers, catalogues, and launches to thousands of customers at once.
  • Social Media Management — Plan, publish, and manage every channel from one place.
  • Lead Capture — Every campaign response lands directly in your ERP as a qualified lead.
  • Automatic Responses — Instant replies to every enquiry — no customer waits, day or night.

How much does the WhatsApp Business API cost in India?

Two separate charges, always shown as two lines. First, a platform fee: ₹999, ₹2,799 or ₹3,799 per month for Starter, Growth or Advanced, or −20% on annual billing. Second, Meta’s own per-conversation charge, billed at cost with no Novrex markup — roughly ₹0.88 for Marketing, ₹0.16 for Utility and ₹0.13 for Authentication conversations.

  • Service conversations — customer-initiated, answered inside the 24-hour window — are free
  • All Instagram conversations are free on Starter, Growth and Advanced
  • Meta rates are never discounted in any billing cycle, by anyone
  • At volume the Meta charge can exceed the platform fee several times over — the dashboard shows both lines separately

Why does “billed at cost” matter?

Most WhatsApp platforms add a per-message markup on top of Meta’s rate, which is invisible on the invoice and grows with your volume. Novrex passes Meta’s rate through unchanged on Starter, Growth and Advanced, and the Enterprise plan removes markup entirely. You are paying for the platform, not for the privilege of sending.

How do WhatsApp replies become sales instead of an unread inbox?

Every campaign response is captured as a lead and synced two-way into the Novrex ERP pipeline, pre-scored, with the conversation attached to the customer record. If you also run Novrex ERP, order, shipping and payment updates go out as WhatsApp Utility messages triggered by the ERP itself, at no extra platform fee — you pay only Meta’s Utility rate.

Questions people ask

How is my WhatsApp bill calculated?

Always two separate lines. A flat platform fee — ₹999, ₹2,799 or ₹3,799 per month for Starter, Growth or Advanced, or −20% on annual billing — plus Meta’s per-24-hour-conversation charges on top. At scale the Meta charges can be several times the platform fee, so the dashboard shows both lines distinctly.

Which WhatsApp conversations are free?

Service conversations — customer-initiated and answered within the 24-hour window — are free on Starter, Growth and Advanced, as are all Instagram conversations. You pay only for conversations you initiate: Marketing at about ₹0.88, Utility at about ₹0.16 and Authentication at about ₹0.13.

Does Novrex add a markup on Meta’s rates?

No. Meta’s rates are billed at cost on Starter, Growth and Advanced, and the Enterprise plan removes any markup entirely. Meta conversation charges are never discounted in any billing cycle.

Can you help with green-tick verification?

Yes. Green-tick verification help is included from the Starter plan onwards, alongside WhatsApp Business API or Instagram connection, a shared team inbox and broadcast campaigns.

Do WhatsApp leads sync into the ERP?

Yes, two-way and pre-scored, on the Growth plan and above. If you run Novrex ERP as well, ERP-triggered Utility messages for order, shipping and payment updates carry no extra platform fee — only Meta’s Utility rate.

Can I send catalogues and product messages?

Yes. WhatsApp catalog and product messages are available from the Growth plan, with limited support on Starter.
